HCPro strengthens its OSHA compliance training with the acquisition of Quality America

Press Releases, July 1, 2008

Marblehead, MA - HCPro, Inc., a portfolio company of Halyard Capital (www.halyard.com), and a leading provider of regulatory compliance and management information, as well as educational and consulting services to the global healthcare industry today announced continued expansion into OSHA safety compliance in outpatient healthcare settings with the acquisition of Quality America, Inc.from Dr. Sheila Dunn.

Keeping up with OSHA's requirements can be a daunting task--especially for busy medical professionals charged with both administrative duties and regulatory compliance in over 200,000 physician offices and ambulatory surgical facilities nationwide. Knowing the regulations with which you must comply for occupational safety and health, determining how to train most effectively, and ensuring that the many details are properly documented makes assistance with regulatory compliance a key need for providers in both large and small outpatient settings. The Quality America acquisition will enable HCPro's customers to better meet the needs in this critical area.

"Quality America has a long-established reputation for responsiveness to its customers in physician practices and ambulatory facility settings," said HCPro CEO Bruce Guzowski. "This acquisition further strengthens HCPro's commitment to respond to the needs of this large provider audience for help with regulatory compliance challenges. The addition of Quality America will expand on the strength and high caliber of the safety compliance products and services we've offered in outpatient settings."

Quality America was founded in 1990 by current president/CEO, Dr. Sheila Dunn. A medical laboratory educator, Dr. Dunn established Quality America to help medical and healthcare organizations address the growing complexities and importance of OSHA regulations. Quality America's line of OSHA compliance programs include safety manuals, news services such as the widely recognized OSHA Watch and OSHA safety training programs and products. Dr. Dunn will continue to operate her lab consulting business and CLIA lab manual business under Sheila Dunn & Associates, LLC.

"This will compliment our highly successful acquisition of Medical Environment, Inc. in 2005," said Robert Croce, publisher of safety compliance for HCPro, Inc. "We are excited to combine the power of these two product lines and offer an unparalleled program of support to providers in outpatient settings. Quality America's customers are clearly thrilled with the company's tracks record, and we hope to continue and build upon that."
