Boston Globe editorial questions patient interest in PHRs
EHR Connection, July 28, 2008
An editorial in the July 2 edition of The Boston Globe regarding the agreement that gives Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts members access to their records via Google Health makes an important observation—it’s unclear whether patients want this control.
This and similar ventures are part of a movement to put consumers in control of their medical information, the newspaper says in its editorial.
Participation in Google Health and similar services is voluntary. Patients can store their information and check their records for accuracy.
