DMAA outlines obesity benefits package

DMAA: The Care Continuum Alliance late last month outlined new research it says could help create a package of benefits for the prevention and management of obesity. At the same time, the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) said it was considering using the benefit prototype in benefit design for its covered applications.
The Value-Based Benefit Design for Obesity and Comorbidities combines what DMAA says is the “best available scientific evidence on effective obesity management strategies with pricing structures universally accepted by insurers.”
