Tip of the week: Use standard IC definitions

Infection Control Monitor, May 30, 2008

As you get ready for the October 1 implementation of a new Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Service (CMS) regulation that will reduce payment for three types of hospital-acquired infections, you will want to ensure proper definitions for infections at your facility.

For more tips on how to get ready for the CMS change, go www.hcpro.com/content/210694.cfm. The cost is $10. Briefings on Infection Control subscribers received this story with their subscriptions.
