CIGNA Web site lets members find high-quality hospitals
Quality Improvement Monitor, May 23, 2008
CIGNA this week launched a Web site that its members can use to find quality physicians and hospitals, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The site ranks doctors and hospitals by cost and quality measures. CIGNA has about 10 million members.
"There are Web sites and tools you can use for a variety of other plans, but this is the most sophisticated I've seen,” William Custer, director of the Center for Health Services Research at Georgia State University, told the newspaper.
