NH aims for 100% hand hygiene compliance
Quality Improvement Monitor, May 9, 2008
New Hampshire has become the first state to launch a project aimed at getting all of its hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers to participate in a handwashing campaign, according to the Associated Press.
Organized by the state’s Health Care Quality Assurance Commission, the “High Five for a Healthy NH” campaign, hopes to reach 100% compliance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s hand hygiene guidelines.
The commission also has tools and posters for hand hygiene compliance available on its Web site.
