Man who impersonated a priest arrested
Healthcare Security Weekly, April 28, 2008
With help from the TV show “America’s Most Wanted,” a man who impersonated a priest and allegedly stole from hospital patients was arrested in Las Vegas. “America’s Most Wanted” featured a story about Leslie Earl Raymond on Saturday, April 19, the Associated Press (AP) reported. The show’s Web site says federal marshals arrested him on Monday, April 21.
The arrest comes almost a year after Raymond, who wore a clerical-collar and pretended to minister to patients, allegedly took wallets from three patients and a nurse at hospitals in Iowa, South Dakota, Texas, and California, according to the “Most Wanted” Web site.
