HCSC Blues plans implement wellness initiatives

Blue Cross Blue Shield plan parent Health Care Service Corp. (HCSC) is taking aggressive steps to promote wellness as part of its health plans, which are adding health risk assessments (HRA) and lifestyle management programs to its core benefit offerings.
The Chicago-based parent of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma has embarked on a variety of wellness initiatives, from incorporating wellness into benefit packages to offering community-based programs to improve health.
