Implementing a behavior management plan

Long-Term Care Nursing Advisor, March 21, 2008

When implementing a behavior managment plan, you should list approaches on the care plan in the order in which they should be implemented. Initiate the plan using the steps in the order listed immediately when the behavior begins. Never wait until the resident loses control. Modifying your behavior often is successful. Control your responses and reactions to the resident. Monitor your body language. Eliminate triggers to the behavior, if known.
