Hospital prepping for upcoming Lopez birth?
Healthcare Security Weekly, February 18, 2008
As security directors know, a celebrity patient always poses unique challenges for hospitals. So is the Long Island hospital where singer and actress Jennifer Lopez is scheduled to give birth to twins practicing security drills in preparation for her stay there?
The Web site TMZ.com reports that staff at the North Shore Medical Centre practiced a security drill as a preventive measure against a possible kidnapping. The Web site said sources reported the hospital conducted a Code Pink drill in early February, practicing for a lock down to prevent a kidnapping attempt.
TMZ.com said a hospital representative confirmed that the hospital had a drill, but said the timing was just a coincidence.
