Minnesota patients share opinions of hospitals online
Quality Improvement Monitor, December 21, 2007
A new Web site created by an affiliate of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota allows patients to share their opinions on the quality of care they received from physicians and hospitals, according the Pioneer Press.
The site is part of a broader effort by Minnesota healthcare organizations to empower consumers and make them better decision-makers when it comes to healthcare.
"We heard from consumers, over and over again, 'I don't pay attention to things like patient satisfaction information, those data. I really want to hear from people like me,'"MaryAnn Stump, an executive with Blue Cross and Consumer Aware, the affiliate, told the Press.
