Physician EMR use boosts patient confidence
EHR Connection, December 17, 2007
A new The Wall Street Journal/Harris Interactive Health Poll finds that patient confidence increases when physicians and other healthcare providers use EMRs, according to a December 5 Wall Street Journal Online article.
The survey found that 33% of respondents are "very confident in their physicians and other healthcare providers having a complete and accurate picture of their medical history," according to the article. However, this confidence level rises to 50% for those who have an electronic record.
Harris Interactive conducted the online survey of 2,153 adults 18 and over for The Wall Street Journal Online's Health Industry Edition between November 12 and 14.
