Johnson & Johnson to create new medical device units despite other woes
Ambulatory Surgery Reimbursement Update, December 4, 2007
Johnson & Johnson recently announced that it will create two new medical device units (surgery, and comprehensive care), despite the fact that the company has declining sales in other areas, such as drug manufacturing, according to a November 15 Wall Street Journal article.
Johnson & Johnson has "reshuffled top executives, split its medical device division in two and created a new group to look at strategy," according to the article. The company plans to implement the new structure in January, 2008.
