Providers split on patient access

Healthcare providers are split about the benefits of allowing patients' access to their records online, reports InformationWeek. Although allowing such access could ensure better accuracy as patients doublecheck their information, physicians have privacy and security concerns. There are also fears that, with patients using their access to sift through information, physicians could encounter extra questions and concerns, according to InformationWeek.
