Senate Democrat Harry Reid (NV) called on Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Secretary Jim Nicholson to resign after another computer containing veterans' information went missing.

"Less than a month after promising to make the VA the 'gold standard' in data security, Secretary Nicholson has again presided over the loss of the personal information of thousands more veterans," Reid said in a release.

Other Democrats had also called for Nicholson's resignation after the previous incident involving a stolen laptop, AirForceTimes.com reports. Democratic representative Bob Filner (CA) urged Nicholson's departure after the previous incident but held back in the wake of the latest incident, noting that the VA immediately notified Congress and veterans about the loss, according to AirForceTimes.com.
