CMS outlines HIPAA section of its Web site

CMS recently issued guidance about using its Web site to obtain information about HIPAA. On the CMS Web page, click on the "Regulations & Guidance" link.
The following links are underneath the "HIPAA Administrative Simplification" section:
- HIPAA-General information, which includes information on rule-making processes and implementation, compliance deadlines, and determining whether your organization is a covered entity
- Educational materials, which include archived roundtable transcripts and Spanish-language material
- Employer identifier standard, which includes the employer identifier regulations
- Enforcement, which includes information about complaints and civil monetary penalties
- NPI, which includes information about applying for and implementing an NPI
- Security standard, which includes the final security rule
- Transactions and code sets standards, which includes information about contingency planning
