Wailuku, Maui-based Wilcox Memorial Hospital (WMH) lost a computer data drive containing 12 years worth of information for 130,000 former and current patients, reports The Star-Bulletin.

The data drive does not contain medical information, but has a listing of names, addresses, medical record numbers and Social Security numbers, reports the paper.

The hospital sent out notification letters to affected patients 12 days after they found the drives missing. In addition, the hospital has taken steps to make sure the loss does not occur again.
