Medica Health Plans alleged that two former employees stole confidential information from the company computers, but that the hackers did not misuse the information about the company's 1.2 million members, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

The company is continuing its investigation into the break-ins, despite the belief that its system is secure. "We've never had any external break-in to the system," Medica spokesperson Larry Bussey told the Star Tribune.

In April, Medica obtained court orders against the employees it suspected of the break-ins. Both employees denied any wrongdoing.
