Tenet Healthcare Corporation agreed Friday to cooperate with a subpoena for documents concerning physician relocation agreements dating back to 1999 from Tenet's Saint Francis Hospital in Memphis, according to Business Wire.
Tenet's general counsel, E. Peter Urbanowicz, stated in a press release that the subpoena, which was issued under provisions of HIPAA, matches up with previously disclosed federal reviews of Tenet's physician relationships.
"We continue to work cooperatively with regulatory and enforcement agencies to provide them with all the information they seek," Urbanowicz said," and we continue to be engaged in discussions with federal agencies regarding a resolution of physician relocation."
