Superior Court Judge James Richman on Wednesday ordered former Kaiser employee Elisa Cooper-more commonly known as the Diva of Disgruntled-to stop posting links to patient information on her Weblog, reported the San Francisco Chronicle.
Richman issued a preliminary injunction against Cooper, saying at the hearing, "This is very private information. I would ask you, put yourself in the position of one of those patients. That ought to be enough."
Cooper protested to the ruling, stating that the judge hadn't read her filing carefully. In the original file, Cooper claimed that Kaiser originally posted the data on its Web site and that she only posted it to take away Kaiser's opportunity to destroy evidence, according to the Chronicle.
Earlier this month, Cooper posted on her Weblog confidential PHI including names, medical record numbers, and lab test information of 140 Kaiser patients.
