HIMSS, URAC team up on marketing effort to help members comply with HIPAA

The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and the nonprofit accreditation organization URAC have collaborated on a marketing arrangement to help their respective constituents comply with HIPAA regulations and deadlines.

Under the new effort, HIMSS will promote the URAC HIPAA privacy and security accreditation programs, which provide strategies healthcare organizations can use in their HIPAA compliance efforts. URAC will promote HIMSS memberships, programs, and services to help with HIPAA compliance.
