The Newspaper Association of America (NAA) is asking Congress to convince the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to voluntarily develop guidance that will help emergency personnel know what information they can and cannot reveal to the press, reported Presstime July 30.
NAA wants to collaborate with HHS on the guidance to instruct covered and noncovered entities about how to follow the privacy rule and cooperate with journalists at the same time, according to Presstime.
