An Oregon hospital settled a breach of privacy case in which a hospital employee allegedly disclosed a couple's HIV-positive status to the couple's neighbors and acquaintances, Patient Care Law Weekly reported June 6.

The couple say the leak happened sometime between 1999 and 2000. They settled with the hospital for $26,000 without the hospital admitting responsibility.
