The Office for Civil Rights (OCR) added some new resources to its Web site last month, including presentations from the February and March HHS national conferences in San Diego, Atlanta, New York and Chicago.
Presentations from the privacy rule conferences include the following:
- Introduction
- Covered Entity, Business Associate, and Organizational Options
- Protected Health Information, Uses and Disclosures, and Minimum Necessary
- Research
- Administrative Requirements
- Compliance and Enforcement
OCR also added the following frequently asked questions regarding drug rebate programs:
- May Medicaid agencies disclose information to validate claims under the Medicaid Drug Rebate program?
- May health plans disclose information to drug manufacturers to adjudicate claims under a drug rebate contract?
Go to http://www.hhs.gov/ocr/hipaa/ and look under "What's New in Privacy" to find the presentations and FAQS.
