A Washington man received three faxes containing patient information in recent months.
Although Mike Dosskey does not work for Providence Everett Medical Center, the hospital mistakenly faxed patient records to his home, reports the Associated Press (AP). Dosskey received the latest fax, 13 pages on a 76-year-old patient with congestive heart failure, June 9. The fax was intended for a long-term care facility where the patient is scheduled to be transferred.
Dosskey said he called the hospital twice in the past several months about other faxes and was told to throw them away, reports the AP.
