HHS to publish proposed modifications to TCS rule, final health plan identifiers rule, and more

Facilities won't have to wait much longer for proposed claims attachment standards, or for final health plan and provider identifier rules, according to HHS' semiannual regulatory agenda.
The agenda, published in the May 27 Federal Register, lists the following standards and their expected publication dates:
- Final standard unique health care provider identifiers rule: July 2003
- Proposed electronic Medicare claims submission rule: July 2003
- Final standard unique national health plan identifiers rule: August 2003
- Proposed claims attachments standards: January 2004
- Proposed modifications to transactions and code sets rule: February 2004
