Houston Methodist San Jacinto Hospital in Baytown, Texas seeks a CDI specialist who will be responsible for improving the overall quality and completeness of clinical documentation. He or she will analyze medical records for DRGs, complications, and comorbidities; identify trends, note observations, and recommend documentation improvement; and will facilitate modifications to clinical documentation through interaction with physicians, nursing staff, other patient care givers, and coding staff. The successful candidate should be a graduate of an accredited nursing school with a minimum of five years’ clinical experience in a hospital setting and minimum one year clinical experience in an acute care setting required. Utilization review, reimbursement, or coding experience preferred.
