Bitglass offers MDM solution without application installation

Despite Bitglass, Inc.'s newness to the healthcare market, the company offers a mobile device management (MDM) solution that is simpler and far less invasive than most solutions available today. Something of a feat, as securing data on mobile devices is usually not an easy task.
Bitglass focuses on securing data rather than installing an application to scan a device and isolate company data or issuing company-owned mobile devices. It doesn't stop there, though; Bitglass also includes role-based access control, allowing companies to dictate what users can view on their mobile devices and what they can access remotely. The toolset permits the masking or redacting of sensitive data when an email is accessed via mobile device. The user can still view the full email using a secure connection to the email server, but cannot store sensitive data such as PHI on the mobile device.
