A recent poll on the ACDIS website seems to show that electronic health record (EHR) implementation actually has helped with CDI productivity. Of the 324 respondents:
- 49% said it helped
- 23% said it did not help
- 21% said their program is still a paper/hybrid model
- 6% didn’t know whether EHR helped or hinder productivity
ACDIS polls offer members a quick snapshot of benchmarking data that can be used to helped research CDI program advancement, and compare a particular facility’s progress on a particular topic. The poll archives are an easy way to gain insight on a variety of topics.
ACDIS members are invited to send their polling topic ideas to ACDIS Associate Director Melissa Varnavas at mvarnavas@acdis.org.
