Are you taking full advantage of your ACDIS membership? For those of you who might not be sure, here are just a few ways you can make the most of your membership this year.

CDI Talk

Networking remains one of ACDIS membership’s core benefits and CDI Talk connects CDI specialists across the country to share best practices and successful strategies. Members have the opportunity to participate in the discussion board by signing up on the CDI Talk webpage. The talk group has 400 users. Once registered, members receive a confirmation email and, thereafter, messages will be delivered to their inbox. Participants can post their own questions or discussion topics, respond to postings, and view archived messages. It’s a great way to network, ask questions, and get answers from peers.

CDI Journal

Starting this month, the CDI Journal will be published bi-monthly and is available exclusively to ACDIS members. The online-only publication features in-depth analysis of important industry regulations, case studies of successful CDI programs, best practices, and columns contributed by physicians and industry experts. Related White Papers and industry surveys can also be found under the CDI Journal tab on the ACDIS website. These publications provide members with in-depth information regarding methods to ensure physician engagement, disease processes, and more.

Forms & Tools Library

The Forms & Tools Library provides members with sample query forms, job descriptions, CDI program policies developed by peers, and education materials. Members who missed the annual conference also have access to the PowerPoint presentations and supplemental materials from all previous national conferences. Members are welcome to submit their own materials.

CDI Poll

Featured on the ACDIS homepage, members can view and take a regular CDI-themed poll by selecting your answer and clicking the submit button. Members can also view past weekly polls by viewing the archives.

Quarterly Conference Calls

ACDIS Quarterly Conference Calls are an hour-long networking opportunity for ACDIS members to participate in a live telephone discussion about the latest hot-topics and industry news. Featuring members of the ACDIS Advisory Board, members are invited to submit questions ahead of time for inclusion and response. ACDIS members receive dial-in instructions via email prior to the call. All calls are also recorded and archived so members can return to the site and review records at a later date. Additionally, ACDIS recognizes each call for one continuing education credit for the Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist credential.

Check out the rest of the ACDIS website for additional information about the association, resources, and networking tools.
