Pay-per-view: Consider expanding CDI to outpatient departments

Even before ICD-10-CM was delayed until October 1, 2015, the quality of physician documentation to accommodate the new code set was a top concern for the healthcare industry.
 
According to a pre-delay survey conducted by the Medical Group Management Association, changes to clinical documentation to accommodate ICD-10 rated as the top concern (68%) of 570 physician group practices polled. More than 21,416 physicians practice in those offices.
