Congress may be steppingin to once again delay a policy that CMS ensured would not face any more enforcement extensions.
The House of Representatives recently passed H.R. 4067, a bill that would extend an enforcement moratorium on outpatient therapeutic services requiring direct supervision for critical access hospitals (CAH) and small rural hospitals through 2014. The Senate passed a similar bill in February.
