This year the Talk Ten Tuesdays crew once again heads to the ACDIS Annual Conference to broadcast on May 7, 8 and 9 (note, all programs take place on pacific time), live from Las Vegas. If you can’t make it out to Vegas to be with us, you can still register for the live broadcasts and pick up a ton of good information. Here is the schedule:

Wednesday, May 7, 9-9:30 a.m. Pacific, featuring Brian Murphy, ACDIS Director; James P. From 12:30-1 p.m., Talk Ten turns to documentation and coding concerns featuring Garry L. Huff, MD, CCS, CCDS, Huff DRG Review; Brent Hadder, MD, University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics; Sam Antonios, MD, FACP, Via Christi Health; and Mike Hodgson, Career Step.

The documentation and coding discussion continues from 2:30-3 p.m., with Angela Kertz, RN, CCDS, Barnes Jewish Hospital; Karen Newhouser, RN, BSN, CCDS, CCS, CCM, MedPartners HIM; Robert Gold, MD; Gloryanne Bryant, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CDIP, CCDS, AHIMA-Approved ICD-10-CM/PCS Trainer, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan Inc.

On Thursday, May 8, Talk Ten presents quality and CDI conference speaker highlights from 9-9:30 a.m., with Brian Murphy, ACDIS Director; Richard D. Pinson, MD, FACP, CCS, HCQ Consulting; Shannon Newell, RHIA, CCS, AHIMA-Approved ICD-10-CM/PCS Trainer, HCQ Consulting; Katy Good, RN, BSN, CCDS, CCS, Flagstaff Medical Center; and Benjamin Keeler, RN, BSN, MHI, PCCN, Flagstaff Medical Center.

From 11-11:30 a.m., the broadcast shifts to sessions about hot topics and emerging CDI concerns with Leah Brody, Precyse; Sylvia Hoffman, RN, C-CDI, CCDS, CDIP, Sylvia Hoffman Consulting; Timothy Brundage, MD, CCDS, Brundage Medical Group; and Jon Elion MD, FACC, ChartWise Medical Systems.

The special “conference floor” Talk Ten sessions continue with two sections focused on new initiatives first from 12:30-1 p.m., and then from 2:30-3 p.m. featuring Bernadette Slovensky, RN, MSN, CEN, Stony Brook Medicine; Claude "Trey" La Charité, MD, University of Tennessee Medical Center; Paul Weygandt, MD, JD, MPH, MBA, CCS, Nuance/J.A.
