CMS indicated in the 2014 OPPS Final Rule that it will implement 29 new device-dependent comprehensive APCs in 2015, which would impact edits 71 (claim lacks required device code) and 77 (claim lacks allowed procedure code).
These edits remain in place for this year, though CPT® code 64569 (revision or replacement of cranial nerve [e.g., vagus nerve] neurostimulator electrode array, including connection to existing pulse generator) was removed from edit 71 in the January I/OCE update.
