Q/A: Did CMS add any new drugs with pass through status in the April OPPS update?

Q:  Did CMS add any new drugs with pass through status in the April OPPS update?

A:  Yes, CMS has created three new HCPCS codes for drugs in the April OPPS update and these all have pass through status.  The codes and their definitions are noted below:
  • C9130, Injection, immune globulin (Bivigam), 500mg
  • C9297, Injection, omacetaxine mepesuccinate, 0.01mg
  • C9298, Injection, ocriplasmin, 0.125mg
Two existing HCPCs codes have also been designated for pass through status beginning April 1, 2013:
  • J7315, Mitomycin, ophthalmic, 0.2mg
  • Q4127, Talymen, per square centimeter
