Here are the top 10 reasons you should attend the JustCoding Virtual Summit: ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS, to be held February 29–March 2.
10. October 1, 2013 is getting closer all the time
Remember when CMS announced the date for the ICD-10-CM/PCS transition and we all thought we had plenty of time to get ready? Well, that time is down to 18 months. Are you still procrastinating?
9. Our faculty rocks—literally!
Robert S. Gold, MD, entertained us during a planning call by playing his guitar. I don’t know that he’ll do that during the live program, but you never know. In addition to Dr. Gold, our band of experts includes James Kennedy, MD, former AHIMA president Rose Dunn, Ann Zeisset, Gloryanne Bryant, Shannon McCall, Jennifer Avery, Sandy Nicholson, Deb Beezley, Lynne Spryzack, Deborah Hale, and Susan Wallace.
8. Pick your peers’ brains
One of the fun features of the summit is the chance to network and exchange ideas with other coders and HIM managers in the chat room. You can ask what others are doing and hopefully pick up some helpful pointers you can use at your facility.
7. JustCoding members save $100
That’s right, you get a discount for being a member of JustCoding. If you’re not a member of JustCoding yet, a basic membership is only $99, so you can sign up for a year of JustCoding and the summit for just $699. It’s like getting your basic membership free.
6. Make it a party
Bring as many people as you want to the summit for the same price—just $699. Train your entire staff together. How’s that for a bargain?
5. Flexible schedule
The sessions are scheduled from 12–3 p.m. Eastern each day, but if you miss one (you know, because you have to work), no worries; the sessions are available on demand the very next day. And you have six months of on demand access after the summit. So you can go back any time to listen to the sessions you missed or review something you heard live.
4. You can attend every session
The summit consists of two tracks—one for coders and one for managers, but you can still attend all of the sessions. You’re not locked in to only one track. You can access the entire summit on demand. And remember, sessions will be on demand the next day and you’ll have access for six months.
3. Earn CE credits
By attending the sessions, you may be eligible for CE credits. And those CE credits will be available for on demand sessions as well.
2. You’ve got questions, we’ve got answers
Our faculty is ready for your questions. Each session includes a question and answer portion, so you can find the answers to your top questions about ICD-10-CM/PCS. And the JustCoding staff is happy to take questions after the summit and work with the speakers to get you answers.
1. No travel hassles (or costs!)
You don’t have to worry about getting stuck at the airport due to a snowstorm, spending an endless flight cooped up with a screaming baby and sick people, or ending up at a one-star hotel. You can attend from the comfort of your home or office. You can even come in your pajamas!
We hope to see you there!
