With the January 1, 2012 HIPAA version 5010 compliance deadline approaching quickly, CMS and the Medicare fee for service (FFS) Program are holding a national testing day Wednesday, June 15, 2011.
CMS is encouraging all to participate, including providers, clearinghouses and vendors.
“National 5010 Testing Day is an opportunity for trading partners to come together and test compliance efforts that are already underway with the added benefit of real-time help desk support and direct and immediate access to MACs,” according to a CMS announcement.
Stay tuned to your local MAC for additional information. Certain state Medicaid agencies will also be participating, according to CMS.
