CMS announced that it is holding conference calls for eligible professionals and hospitals on April 1 and 6 respectively.
Topics for the call for hospitals include:
- Eligibility for incentives
- Dually eligible hospitals
- Pre-registration
- Registration
- Helpful resources
Topics vary slightly for the April 1 call for eligible professionals. For more information or to register for either call, visit the CMS EHR Incentive Program website.
In addition, CMS has posted information on the first incentive payments distributed to healthcare providers. The Medicaid agencies in Oklahoma and Kentucky distributed the first incentive dollars January 5, according to the website.
Kentucky’s Medicaid agency paid $2.86 million to the University of Kentucky Healthcare hospital. Oklahoma issued its first payments to physicians at the Gastorf Family Clinic in Durant.
