CMS updates RAC underpayment instructions

CMS updated the instructions related to processing underpayments indentified by RACs in Transmittal 184 (Change Request 7326) issued February 25. Medicare administrative contractors will now process underpayments using the mass adjustment process whenever possible, according to the transmittal. The change is effective March 28.
