During the January 12 Hospital & Hospital Quality Open Door Forum, CMS representatives discussed and answered questions on several topics, including the EHR incentive program, the three-day rule, screening criteria, end-stage renal disease (ESRD) payments, and the proposed rule for the hospital value-based purchasing program going into effect in October 2012.
Regarding the latter, CMS indicated it is accepting comments until March 8, and will hold a special forum regarding the details of the program in the near future.
