Director's Note: Welcome new board members, conference early-bird rate ends tomorrow

ACDIS is pleased to announce the election of four new advisory board members, terms of service effective January 2011 through December 2013. The following new board members were elected by a vote of the existing ACDIS advisory board from a pool of 61 candidates. So congratulations to Donna Wilson, Cheryl Ericson, and Trey La Charité who are all new members to the ACDIS advisory board, and to Robert Gold who was re-elected to the advisory board after completing a three-year term of service from October 2007 through December 2010. Please take a moment to welcome them on board and to learn more about them on the ACDIS blog.

The 2011 4th Annual ACDIS Conference continues its tradition of bringing a diverse range of educational sessions to enhance your CDI program. See what your peers are doing in this year’s expanded poster sessions. Find out who earned the CDI Professional of the Year Award during the special awards luncheon on Day One and network with other CDI specialists from your state during the networking luncheon on Day Two. Learn program improvement techniques, expand your knowledge of diagnoses, disease processes, and effective query techniques, and return to your facility with a new level of proficiency for continued success.
 
The Early Bird Rate of $795 ends tomorrow, February 4. Consider joining together with other CDI professionals to take advantage of the five-person discount; if all five people are current ACDIS members, attendance costs $2,780. Split that across five people and it only costs $556 a person compared to the regular rate of $995 for an individual non-ACDIS member; that special rate cuts the cost nearly in half.
