Another HIPAA Summit is in the books.
The HIPAA and HITECH final rules could be published by the end of this year or early next year, Adam Green, JD, MPH, senior health information technology and privacy specialist for Office of Civil Rights (OCR), predicted during the first day of the Fourth Annual HIPAA Summit West: Healthcare Privacy and Security after HITECH and Health Reform Monday, October 4.
But don’t hold him to that, he also said.
