OCR to host regional meeting on HIPAA protection of psychotherapy notes

The Office for Civil Rights (OCR) and the Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) will co-host a meeting next month on the HIPAA Privacy Rule’s special protections relating to the use and disclosure of psychotherapy notes.

It is scheduled for October 7 at HHS Region 5 office in Chicago.
