On June 2, The National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) posted a conversion table for new diagnostic and procedural codes for 2010 to assist users in data retrieval. The table includes, but is not limited to, the following new ICD-9-CM codes (bolded in the complete NCHS conversion table) that will take effect October 1 (current code assignment→previous code assignment):

  • 237.73, 237.79→237.7
  • 275.01–275.03, 275.09→275.0
  • 276.61, 276.69→276.6
  • 278.03→278.8
  • 287.41, 287.49→287.4
  • 315.35→307.0
  • 447.0–447.73→441.9

For each new code, the conversion table shows the date the code took effect and its previously assigned code equivalents.
