What are your current job responsibilities?
I serve as part of our clinical documentation improvement team. We review inpatient charts for complete documentation, and we write physician queries when they are appropriate.

Why did you decide to pursue a career in health information management?
I wanted to work in a field related to healthcare that didn't involve direct patient care. I find the HIM field to be very dynamic and exciting!

What do you like most about your job?
I really do learn something new every day.

What is your favorite area of coding?
Infectious disease and general surgery

What is your least favorite area of coding?

What are some of your hobbies?
Reading, watching baseball, and going to the beach
