CDI administrators are constantly seeking simple solutions to educate fellow healthcare providers about the roles and responsibilities of the CDI specialist. This two-minute video may provide an easy solution.
The brainchild of Jennifer Love, RN, and Abby Steelhammer, RN, MHA, MBA, CDI program directors for Novant Health’s nine hospital system in North Carolina, the video outlines who the CDI specialists are and what they do on a daily basis. It even includes a definition of the physician query and illustration of Novant’s physician query tool.
Love and Steelhammer first shared their video on the ACDIS Blog, which also contains tips for how to create a simple video for your own facility.
