A. Some facilities call these “triage” or “nurse-only” visits. This scenario typically involves an ED nurse triaging a patient and sometimes providing minor care such as bandaging a wound or dispensing Tylenol® for a high fever. The patient is registered in the hospital system and a chart is generated, which expends facility resources.
