Bypass for arterial insufficiency of the legs in a diabetic patient
Today, physicians use various methodologies for restoring blood flow to the legs. One method is angioplasty, which the physician can perform open or percutaneously, with or without the use of stents. Another method is inserting venous or artificial shunts, open or percutaneously. There are many options. Sequencing these codes in cases with diabetic patients occasionally confounds coders.
