EHRs, incentives on the horizon

Organizations using personal health records (PHR) must verify their accuracy, educate patients about their responsibilities to maintain them, and offer training to physicians and patients.
Providers must also distinguish them from electronic health records (EHR), says Joan Beach, privacy official at Catholic Healthcare West in Sacramento, CA.
