Albert Einstein once said, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” And hospital staff members who spend considerable time and resources performing back-end rework to correct errors don’t make any long-term progress to combat revenue loss.
Today’s hospitals face countless challenges, including decreased reimbursement and a decline in nonoperating revenue. Fewer patients opt for elective procedures, and providers must ensure the medical necessity of the procedures they do perform.
